aboutILF
The International Leadership Foundation (ILF) is a non-profit organization that promotes the civic awareness, public involvement and economic effectiveness of the Asian Pacific American (APA) community. Our mission is to develop young leaders in the United States in the fields of public service, entrepreneurship and the international arena through a network of business and community leaders, and to expose emerging leaders in other Pacific Rim countries to the American perspective in business, education and policy.

Since 2000 ILF has provided scholarships and leadership training for over a thousand select APA college students nation-wide. It prepares the young generation to become leaders in the public, business, academic, community and professional arenas. It includes the Civic Fellowship Program, Youth Leadership Academy, Washington Leadership Program, Emerging Leaders Public Forum and International Exchange Program. It is comprised of an exciting series of internships, leadership training, lectures, seminars and discussions on topics ranging from international relations to public diplomacy and the legislative process.
ilf Entrepreneurship and Innovation Committe
The International Leaders Foundation (ILF) Entrepreneurship and Innovation Committee was founded in April 2018 by first generation immigrants with wide-ranging expertise in business (see board members here). The committee focuses on entrepreneurship and innovation as core strengths of the next generation of Asian business leaders, with special focus on areas such as Entrepreneurship & Business Development and Business Operation & Management. We seek to fulfill three core missions.
Core mission 1
establish MULTI-GENERATIONAL DIALOGUE FOR ASIAN POWER
The international business experience of Asian-American entrepreneurs brings valuable experience and diverse perspectives to young Asian and Asian-American leaders, The Committee's board seeks to mentor a community of distinguished entrepreneurs, cultivating young leaders in future Asia-US relations and global affairs.
Core mission 2
OPEN DOORS TO
NEW BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES
Help Asian-American businesses strengthen ties among Asian-American enterprises in the U.S. and around the globe, through ILF’s network and business initiatives. Asian-American business growth means growth for our community, for future generations, and for the nation.
Core mission 3
BUILD STRONGER BONDS WITHIN THE COMMUNITY
A stronger community needs distinguished individuals as well as collective effort. The committee hopes to strengthen the Asian community by cooperation among generations as well as among business sectors. Our community’s lasting influence depends not just on the insights of its current leaders, but also on the inherited wisdom of past generations.
