Stephany Yu

Founder and General Partner of Sunwater Capital; Founder of Greencourt Group;

Chairwomen of Yuan Foundation

 

Stephany Yu is a Founder and General Partner of Sunwater Capital, a North Bethesda-based investment firm focused on real estate, healthcare, and data in the US and China. She is the founder of Greencourt Group, a Shanghai-based real estate development and investment company.

Mrs. Yu has developed more than 36 million square feet of residential, commercial, and retail property in the US and China and was an early pioneer in the development of Shanghai’s suburban area. In 2012 she began investing and developing in the US, completing projects in Washington DC’s Shaw and NoMa neighborhoods, Maryland’s North Bethesda region, and Virginia’s Reston area.

Mrs. Yu is an active member of the Chinese American community in Maryland. She is the Founder and Chairman of Yuan Foundation and the Chairman of the International Leadership Foundation Entrepreneurship & Innovation Committee.

Mrs. Yu graduated from Shanghai Fudan University with undergraduate and advanced degrees in Economics. She is a Board Member and Visiting Professor of Fudan University’s School of Economics and is the Co-CEO of its Alumni Association.

Bing Lu

Registered Investment Advisor with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission

 

  • Over 25 years of experience in the equity markets, specializing in real estate finance (REITs) and ETF investments

  • He is the CEO of Vesta Investment Advisors and manages Vesta Strategic RE Fund, Vii ETF Growth Fund and other private equity funds.

  • Previously worked at Millennium Management, Fidelity Investments, Fannie Mae and other financial institutions.

  • Graduated from Fudan University in mathematical mechanics and Courant Institute of Mathematics, New York University.

Jizhan Gou

President of CHIAO TUNG UNIVERSITY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION @ WASHINGTON DC.

Dr. Jizhan Gou is a traffic engineer with broad experience in traffic management & operations, transportation engineering, Intelligent Transportation System, Traffic data analysis and AI application in Traffic operations.

He worked for public agencies as well as private companies in the past 20+ years. He frequently engaged with the public regarding traffic concerns. He is a registered professional engineer and project management professional. He is the current president of CHIAO TUNG UNIVERSITY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION @ WASHINGTON DC.

​Sha Zhu

International Trade and National Security analyst at the D.C. office of BakerHostetler

Sha Zhu is a passionate and compassionate young professional. A graduate of Peking University and George Washington University, Sha has over a decade of experiences working at a variety of organizations, such as law firms, think tank, and government relations firms.

Currently, Sha is an International Trade and National Security analyst at the D.C. office of BakerHostetler, one of the nation’s largest law firms. 

Sha has considerable experiences working with stakeholders from governments, businesses and legal communities in China, assisting visiting officials and representatives to ensure that long-term relationships are fostered and exchanges are mutually beneficial. 

Sha is the President of Peking University Alumni Association – D.C. Chapter, a Next Generation Leader and Advisory Council Member of the Committee of 100, and an active member of China Investment Group.

Fei Xing
Director of Data Science , Mathematica Policy Research

Xing has worked on a range of projects in health, education, and nutrition. Currently, he is the project director for a study using natural language processing and machine learning to help the National Science Foundation revolutionize its occupation coding process for the Survey of Doctorate Recipients. Xing also led a range of tasks to develop, test, and maintain scientifically sound health quality measures and support their implementation in multiple quality programs for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Specifically, he has expertise with reliability and validity testing and risk adjustment ,and has supported more than 10 health quality measures—based on claims and electronic health records—that were endorsed by the National Quality Forum. As director of data science, Xing is responsible for staff development and team building, and he leads the Data Science team to provide data science solutions on projects, proposals, and business development efforts.

Before joining Mathematica in 2013, Xing worked on projects developing statistical models to identify hot spots of performance bottleneck and improve the user experience of supercomputers at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He holds a Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
