COMPETITION RULES
​
1. Applicants
Nationwide High School Students (International students are also welcome).
2. Team
Each team can have no more than 6 members. Team members may be comprised from more than one school.
3. Must be original work
To be considered, plagiarism is prohibited​​.

Success stories
Richard Zhu (Gold Award)
An upcoming Sophomore at Richard Montgomery High School, currently living in Potomac, MD. Richard likes playing tennis, he holds the #2 singles position on the varsity team. For leisure time, he enjoys reading and playing guitar.

Zechang (Charlie) Yang (Gold Award)
Zechang (Charlie) Yang is a student in the Class of 2023 at Bullis School, Potomac, MD. Charlie has been a student at Bullis since eighth grade. He enjoys a variety of activities at his school. He serves as Director of Bullis Student Tutors (BST), co-president of the Math Club, co-founding president of the Financial Education Club and the Biology Club, leadership team member of the MUN Club, the secretary of the Internation Thespian Society (ITS), a member of the National Honor Society (NHS), Science National Honor Society (SNHS), National English Honor Society (NEHS), Student Government Association (SGA), Conduct Review Board (CRB), and the Institutional Identity Committee as part of the Bullis Strategic Plan. He is also proud to be a member of the varsity Rock Climbing team and the Bulldog Productions team to help broadcast home sports games. Charlie is honored to receive the Outstanding Scholar Award (for the past two years), Head of School Award, Excellence in Theatre Award, and Excellence in Mathematics Award.
This summer, Charlie is excited to participate in the Research Mentorship Program at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and intern at Leadership Initiatives as a member of the website development team.

Evelyn is a rising senior at Richard Montgomery High School. She is passionate about public health, journalism, and education. In her free time, she likes to draw, listen to music, and play with her cat.
