Yuan Foundation is a nonprofit organization. Our goal is to increase political participation in the Asian American community; and mission is to enrich the United States by encouraging citizens to embrace their rights and responsibilities, promoting the founding ideals of liberty and democracy, and providing a platform for voicing common concerns and interests. ILF (International Leader Foundation) and Yuan Foundation have been successfully organizing the AAPI Business Plan Competition annually since 2018, called “ILF Entrepreneurship and Innovation Contest” from 2018 to 2021 and “Yes! Young Entrepreneurs Solutions: Business Plan Competition” since 2022.

Entrepreneurship And Innovation Committee
The contestants will receive one-to-one counseling by the Committee and guest expert advisors. Various training courses will be provided to the participants and volunteers. The participating teams and volunteers will also visit entrepreneurial bases, research laboratories, incubation centers, and other such sources to benefit young and dynamic individuals who are passionate about entrepreneurship and innovation. In addition, the Committee will help the winning projects connect with business startup funds.

The participating projects shall be innovative and combine forward-looking, pioneering and exploratory technologies with industries and cover the topics below:
• Social Innovation
• Technology Innovation
• Culture and Creative Innovation
CONTESTANT REQUIREMENTS

The competition is divided into two groups: High School, College and Above groups, by the age of the core contestants.

Contestants enter the team as a unit.

Each team can have no more than 5 members.

One of core team members must be an Asian American.
FINAL
AWARDS
• Winning teams will attend the awards dinner, where they will meet with noted entrepreneurs and distinguished government representatives. The Committee may reimburse the winning participants’ trip to Washington DC.
• The winning teams will also gain the support of the ILF Entrepreneurship and Innovation Committee to connect with venture capital and the opportunity to visit businesses in China.
